The department of
Equipment and Maintenance represents a strategic pillar for ensuring the efficiency and continuity of Bianchi-Giavotti's production. The key activities for the
mold construction and maintenance, in close synergy with the technical office, equipped with 3D CAD systems for advanced design.
The organization of this department is structured into two specialized sections:
- One dedicated to the bench maintenance, where tool technicians take care of the cleaning and checking of molds before the start of each production batch, ensuring consistent performance and reducing the incidence of machine downtime;
- One dedicated to the construction of components, with specialized machine tool operators who produce spare parts and shapes for new molds.
The recently renovated fleet of vehicles comprehends:
- 1 lathe
- 1 machining center/milling machine
- 3 die-sinking EDMs
- 1 wire EDM
- 2 corrections
- 1 drill
This equipment allows for interventions fast, precise and internal, minimizing plant downtime and increasing responsiveness in case of emergencies. Thanks to constant dialogue with the production department and rigorous controls, every maintenance or corrective intervention is managed preventively and strategically.
The internal presence of the tool shop is a guarantee of autonomy, quality and safety of processes, with a direct positive impact on costs, times and overall reliability.
